About Us
Our Story
Uthman Counselling was established in special honour and memory of our beloved late son, Muhammad Uthman Hussain.
Uthman was indeed a unique boy, Alhamdulillah. Every moment of his beautiful life breathed kindness and empathy. His deep care and love for his family was truly remarkable. He would continually acknowledge every goodness that was done to him and in turn would want to do more in return. He established good relationships with whomsoever he met. From his friends, neighbours, teachers, coaches to even a stranger passing by, Uthman always approached others with goodness and grace.
Uthman’s demeanour was such, that this goodness and grace extended to difficult moments of trials. Despite the challenges he faced in his life, he didn’t complain and never asked why it was happening to him. He pulled through challenging times with remarkable resilience and patience. Hence, even painful memories are coupled with laughter and adventure. That’s the kind of boy Uthman was in this world. Alhamdulillah. Whatever Uthman did in life was done with enthusiasm and joy.
Uthman was an incredibly modest boy with an exceptionally generous heart. Upon scanning through the life of the great third Caliph of Islam, Sayyidina Uthman ibn Affan (radhiyAllahu anhu), it is clearly evident that two of the most salient features of Uthman (radhiyAllahu anhu)’s character was his modesty and generosity. We are grateful that Uthman followed in these footsteps, although with no comparison to Sayyidina Uthman (radhiyAllahu anhu). We are humbly grateful in the court of Allah to be able to describe our beloved Uthman in this manner, Alhamdulillah.
On the evening of Saturday 25th September 2021, Allah called back His beautiful gift, Uthman. As we remember Uthman’s last breath in this transient world, we say, Alhamdulillah, inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajioon.
We utter the same words of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) upon the passing of his son Ibrahim:
إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ تَدْمَعُ وَالْقَلْبَ يَحْزَنُ وَلََ نَقُولُ إِلََّ مَا يَرْضَى رَبُّنَا وَإِنَّا بِفِرَاقِكَ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ لَمَحْزُونُونَ
“Verily, the eyes shed tears and the heart is grieved, yet we will not say anything but what is pleasing to our Lord. We are saddened by your departure, O Ibrahim!”
(Bukhari)
Uthman’s life lasted ten and a half years, yet the memories from his life, his beautiful character and incredible qualities continue to impact our hearts & lives every day. For now, and until we too breathe our last breath, we wait patiently, hoping for reward, for Allah’s promise of the sweetest reunion and eternal bliss in Paradise. In sha Allah.
